UDDERMINT is an anti-inflammatory mammary ointment with 35% Japanese mint. It is characterised by a strong stimulating effect on blood flow and promotes the natural auto-immune defence mechanism in milk animals. The emulsion is specifically for simple massages with absorption into the udder without leaving oily traces. UDDERMINT is the preferred ointment for breeders. It is used principally for refreshing swollen and inflamed udders, or udders affected by edema; if used in advance, it can be useful for combating light cases of mastitis.Also ideal in cases of contusion and trauma.
Apply Uddermint 2-3 times a day after milking. Carefully massage the udders. Repeat the operation for 2-4 days. In general, the use of UDDERMINT takes place in the following three ways: 1) If used in advance on milk animals which present very slight symptoms of mastitis, it proves effective in the treatment of a large number of cases without the administration of antibiotics. This is valid for cases of mastitis in which the animal has a high probability of natural healing. 2) If used together with antibiotics, for more serious or advanced cases of mastitis, it promotes the effect of the antibiotic in such a way as to concentrate the action in the affected area, accelerating healing. 3) It proves particularly useful as a routine treatment for cows who have recently given birth and heifers with rigid udders (including edema) as it softens the udder and stimulates the ejection of milk.
